It’s funny because I used to see my friends go through break-ups and I’d be there for them but in the back of my mind I’d be thinking ‘Why can’t you just pull yourself together?’ or ‘He was a d*ck anyway, surely you can see that you deserved so much better?’. And then it happened to me and I finally understood.
Saving £4000 in a year sounds impossible right? Well it doesn’t have to be! All it takes is a little bit of cutting back and focusing on your spending to get your bank statements looking much more appealing. The little things add up and cutting back shouldn’t mean you’re missing out.
It’s always great to book a flight and get on the plane to a new city but as most of us work full time and have limited holidays each year, we sometimes have to settle for short weekend breaks as opposed to the two week stay we really want. I’m talking about going straight to the airport from work on the Friday evening and jetting back on the Sunday night. It’s the adrenaline rush, the excitement, the stress.
